Hatching Eggs

From Our Breeding Flock

Our hatching eggs come from the same breeding groups we use to produce our own peachicks. Breeding groups are selected with attention to variety, genetics, health and the qualities we hope to carry into the next generation.

Seasonal Availability

Peafowl breeding season is seasonal, and the hens ultimately decide when the eggs arrive. Availability varies throughout the spring and summer, and eggs are offered as they become available.

A Beginning, Not a Guarantee

Every hatching egg carries possibility, but no breeder can guarantee fertility or a successful hatch. Incubation, handling and conditions during incubation all affect the outcome. We want buyers to begin with realistic expectations - and the best information we can give them.

From Egg to Peachick. From the first egg of the season to the moment a peachick emerges, hatching never loses its magic.

    Before You Purchase Hatching Eggs

Hatching eggs are offered seasonally as they become available. Because laying patterns and our own hatching plans vary throughout the breeding season, availability cannot be guaranteed in advance.

Eggs are offered by breeding group, with the parent birds and known genetics clearly identified. Because peafowl genetics can produce more than one color or pattern from a pairing, expected possibilities will be shared with buyers rather than promising a specific outcome.

Peafowl eggs have different incubation needs than chicken eggs. Buyers should have suitable equipment and familiarize themselves with peafowl incubation before purchasing. We are happy to provide our customers with basic guidance, but successful development and hatch cannot be guaranteed.

We hatch from our own breeding flock and monitor fertility during the season. Even under excellent conditions, however, not every fertile egg develops or hatches. once eggs leave our care, handling, storage and incubation conditions are beyond our control.

During laying season, hatching eggs are available for pickup in the Ballston Spa, New York area.  Exact pickup information is provided to confirmed buyers. Shipping availability and requirements will be listed when eggs become available.
